Oklahoma Super Lawyers recognizes the top 5 percent of Oklahoma attorneys in more than 60 practice areas. McAfee & Taft has perennially led the state in the number of attorneys selected to this list, with several of our attorneys being singled out for top honors. In the most recent edition, John N. Hermes and John A. Kenney were recognized as “Top 10 Oklahoma Lawyers.” Rachel Blue, Mary Quinn Cooper, Myrna Latham, Kathy R. Neal, Susan Shields, Mary Ellen Ternes and Elizabeth Tyrrell were named to the list of “Top 25 Oklahoma Female Lawyers.” W. Chris Coleman, Mary Quinn Cooper, Robert Dace, Sam Fulkerson, Frank Hill, William S. Leach, Kathy R. Neal, Reid Robison and Nathan Whatley were honored as “Top 50 Oklahoma Lawyers.” In the last five years, 69 McAfee & Taft attorneys have been recognized by Oklahoma Super Lawyers.
The selections for this esteemed list are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters legal division. Each year, researchers undertake a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area, and a good-standing and disciplinary check.
