Brandon Buchanan is a trial attorney whose state and federal litigation practice is focused on labor and employment law, products liability defense, mass torts, and litigation involving healthcare, insurance and construction disputes. In addition to representing both plaintiffs and defendants in complex civil litigation matters, he also represents defendants in employment-related litigation involving all types of wrongful discharge claims and claims related to employment agreements. He also has extensive experience defending healthcare providers in malpractice lawsuits.
Brandon's achievements have earned him inclusion in Oklahoma Rising Stars, which recognizes the state's top up-and-coming attorneys.
In addition to his law practice, Brandon currently serves as co-chair of the firm's Recruiting Committee, which includes helping to coordinate the firm's recruiting activities with law school candidates and helping new lawyers assimilate into the vibrant life of the firm.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2005, Brandon was a litigation associate with another Oklahoma City-based civil practice law firm. He has also served as legal advisor to the Oklahoma State Senate Judiciary, clerk to Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Marian P. Opala, and legislative director for the University of Oklahoma's Norman campus and Health Sciences Center.
