A significant percentage of Brandon’s litigation practice is dedicated to aggressively defending professionals in a variety of fields. He has successfully defended licensed medical and health care professionals, including doctors in all manner of practice areas, physician assistants, osteopaths, nurses, and dentists. Brandon also has extensive experience defending long term care facilities, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities, against allegations of substandard care.
Brandon has also represented a wide range of clients in complex construction litigation. He has defended claims of construction defects or failures on behalf of architects, engineers, contractors, geotechnical professionals, and design professionals, both in the courtroom and before reviewing Boards. These matters often involve issues of property damage and remediation, direct personal injury, and indemnification negotiation.

- Representation of healthcare providers in defense of malpractice lawsuits, involving such areas of medicine as family practice, neurology, radiology, pain management, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat surgery, pancreatic dissection, endocrinology and ophthalmology.
- Jury trial representation of ENT physician in wrongful death lawsuit arising from uvulapalatopharyngoplasty surgery to treat life-threatening sleep apnea condition.
- Successful representation of a family practice physician and physician’s assistant in defense of claim of failure to diagnose the signs and symptoms of a myocardial infarction, resulting in jury defense verdict.
- Successful representation of nursing homes and assisted living facilities in defense of claims arising from falls, development and treatment of decubitus ulcers, elopement, and alleged mishandling resulting in injuries and wrongful death.
- Representation of architects defending claims of property damage and remediation due to negligent design, monitoring and/or oversight.
- Representation of design professional in multi-million dollar litigation arising from the collapse of a high-rise structure and allegations of negligent design of a Solar Well and Curtain Wall.
- Representation of contractors in defense of allegations of defective or faulty construction and negligent supervision.
- Representation of geotechnical companies arising from incidents of foundation movement and allegations of negligent soil analysis, testing and treatment.
- Representation of engineers and foreign corporations before the Oklahoma State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and in litigation defending malpractice claims.
- Defended professional negligence claim filed against landscape engineering firm employed to design a bank’s water and sewer system, as well as site drainage and paving.
- Defended design engineers against claims of faulty construction of residential properties.
- Defended a professional architecture and design firm in matters alleging the negligent design of exterior lighting and glass paneling at a municipal facility plaza.
- Defended a civil engineering and surveying company against claims of negligent engineering involving a bridge with alleged insufficient load capacity.
- Successfully defended journeyman plumber and plumbing company in a cause and origin/professional negligence lawsuit seeking recovery for extensive property damage caused by a restaurant fire.
