Chris Miller is a registered patent attorney whose practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, unfair competition, trade secrets, software and computer law, and litigation involving disputes over intellectual property assets.
Chris also devotes a portion of his practice to environmental and transportation law and related litigation. His experience in this area includes counseling clients on a multitude of environmental, health, safety, transportation and energy-related regulatory issues; advising companies on environmental and general records and information management practices; and assisting energy industry companies with multi-million dollar business transactions.
Chris earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University in 2005 and graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2008. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he was certified as an engineer intern by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying and was a member of Engineering Explorers of the Tulsa Engineering Foundation. As a law student, he was a senior staff member of Energy Law Journal, a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and the recipient of academic award certificates in Public Policy and Natural Resources, Energy, and Environmental Law.
Through a combination of extensive research as an undergraduate student, previous employment as an engineer prior to law school, and a passion for restoring classic automobiles, Chris has developed particular interest and in-depth knowledge of a wide array of mechanical and electrical technologies. He also has significant experience designing, programming, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical devices, microcontrollers, and electronic controls. Such experience has proven particularly valuable to him in providing legal solutions to clients in technical areas commonly encountered in intellectual property law and environmental compliance.
