Suzanne Kern is a trial lawyer whose state and federal litigation practice is focused on employment law, complex commercial litigation, and the representation of manufacturers and distributors of automobiles, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, consumer products, and industrial products in the defense of product liability claims.
As part of her employment practice, Suzanne represents management exclusively in all aspects of dispute resolution arising from the employer-employee relationship, including litigation before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and regulatory and administrative agencies. She also counsels employers on such issues as wage and hour matters, employee discipline and discharge, handbook development and personnel policy violations, anti-discrimination and anti-harassment, employee contracts and non-compete agreements, confidentiality agreements, and litigation avoidance and compliance with other state and federal laws.
Suzanne is a 2010 graduate of the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she was an editor of the Tulsa Law Review, served as vice president of the Board of Advocates, and was named to the Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. She also holds a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from the University of Oklahoma.
Active in the community, Suzanne is a member of Tulsa’s Young Professionals (TYPROS) and serves on the board of directors for the University of Tulsa College of Law Alumni Association and on the executive committee of the Council Oak/Johnson-Sontag American Inn of Court. In 2012, the Sooner Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation named her to its list of “Tulsa’s 20 New Leaders.”
In addition to her legal practice at the firm, she serves as a volunteer attorney for Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, providing services for eligible low-income individuals and seniors with civil legal problems through the Courthouse Assistance Program.
Prior to entering law school, Suzanne worked as a sales representative for a Fortune 100 pharmaceutical company for four years and as a sales representative for a leading publisher for higher education for two years.
