BIOGRAPHY

Laura Long is a trial lawyer whose practice includes energy litigation, complex business and commercial litigation, creditor’s rights including bankruptcy, and employment litigation. She has represented clients ranging from individuals to national corporations in state and federal trial courts, bankruptcy courts, appellate courts, and arbitrations and mediations. She has experience in the areas of oil and gas related contract disputes, marketing and measurement, royalty owner issues, easement and encroachment, surface owner disputes, lease disputes, and toxic torts. Her litigation experience also includes representation of clients in a variety of other industries, such as construction, banking, intellectual property, and retail.

In addition to her litigation practice, Laura has represented companies in contract negotiations, corporate structuring, and a variety of corporate transactions. 

Laura graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in 2003 and earned her master’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 2005. She earned her Juris Doctor degree in 2008 from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with highest honors and was named to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as note editor for the Oklahoma Law Review and is the author of “SLAPPing Around the First Amendment: An Analysis of Oklahoma's Anti-SLAPP Statute and Its Implications on the Right to Petition,” 60 Oklahoma Law Review 421 (2007). She earned American Jurisprudence Awards in Advanced Torts, Federal Courts, Wills and Trusts, and Criminal Law.
