BIOGRAPHY

Tim Bomhoff is a trial lawyer whose practice involves complex business and commercial litigation and the representation of employers and management in all phase of litigation before federal and state courts, regulatory and administrative agencies, and arbitration panels as lead counsel. His diverse client list includes public and private companies of all sizes, quick service restaurants, manufacturing companies, oil and gas companies, chemical companies, securities broker-dealers and issuers, and financial institutions.

Tim's business and commercial litigation experience includes products liability, mass torts (including asbestos defense and environmental litigation), oil and gas, securities arbitration, negligence, and other commercial controversies.

As part of his employment litigation practice, he has represented management in a variety of matters involving employment discrimination, including claims arising under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Fair Labor Standards Act and Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act. He has also litigated matters involving the enforcement of non-competition and confidentiality agreements, breach of employment contracts, handbook and personnel policy violations, wage and  hour disputes, and other issues arising out of the employer/employee relationship. He also counsels management on employment issues, including investigations, discipline, terminations, policies and procedures, drug and alcohol testing, employment contracts, arbitration provisions and enforcement of trade secret and confidential provisions, as well as training on employment issues.

Tim's achievements as a litigator have earned him inclusion in Chambers USA Guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America (commercial litigation; employment law – management; energy law; environmental litigation; labor and employment litigation; mass tort litigation/class actions – defendants; oil and gas law; product liability litigation; product liability litigation - defendants; securities litigation) and Oklahoma Super Lawyers (business litigation, alternative dispute resolution, civil litigation defense). He was also named "Best Lawyers'  2012 Oklahoma City Mass Tort/Class Actions Defense Lawyer of the Year," an honor only given to a single lawyer in each legal specialty in each community.

Tim has also been selected as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society dedicated to promoting superior advocacy, professionalism and ethical standards among its fellows.

  • Obtained summary judgment for a nonprofit organization in a class action lawsuit alleging violation of the Oklahoma Minimum Wage Act.
  • Obtained summary judgment for an oil and gas company under the Oklahoma Production Revenue Standards Act.
  • Obtained summary judgment for an oil and gas equipment manufacturer in a products liability action.
  • Successfully defended several national companies in asbestos litigation.
  • Obtained defense judgments for brokerage companies in New York Stock Exchange arbitrations.
