BIOGRAPHY

Trent Bridges is a transactional lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of business transactions, including securities offerings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing and regulatory compliance matters as well as forming, structuring and capitalizing new entities and reorganizing existing entities.

While earning his Juris Doctor at the University of Tulsa College of Law, Trent served as editor-in-chief of the Tulsa Law Review and was the recipient of the Oklahoma Bar Foundation Chapman Rogers Scholarship and Dwayne C. Pollard Memorial Scholarship.  In addition to earning the William H. Bell Award for outstanding study in the area of wills and trusts, Trent earned CALI Awards in Agency and Partnership, Decedents’ Estates and Trusts, Civil Procedure II, and International Law.  He graduated with highest honors in 2008 and was named to the Order of the Curule Chair.

Trent is the author of “U.S. v. Stein: Federal Prosecutors Twisting the Arm of Corporate America While Its Employees Cry Uncle (Sam),” 43 Tulsa Law Review 739 (2008).

Prior to entering law school, Trent was a business development manager with Boise Cascade Corporation for five years and was responsible for generating corporate sales in the Atlanta and Dallas/Fort Worth markets.


REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

  • Represented an Oklahoma-based oil and natural gas production and exploitation company in a $345 million private placement of its common stock to a private equity fund.
  • Represented The Oklahoma Publishing Company in its acquisition of a controlling equity interest in Pavestone Company, a national manufacturer of concrete landscaping products, and its subsidiaries.
  • Represented an Oklahoma-based oil and natural gas production and exploitation company in the divestiture of its electric submersible pump and chemical divisions.
  • Represented a physician-owned surgical hospital in its reorganization and sale to a national operator of ambulatory surgical centers and surgical hospitals.
  • Represented a privately-held Oklahoma auto parts distributor in its acquisition of a powertrain parts and accessories distribution business in North Carolina and Virginia.
  • Represented a public university in a public-private transaction involving a long-term operations and management arrangement concerning the university's utility systems.
