Rebecca Marr serves as a litigation paralegal primarily working in the areas of product liability, civil litigation and employment law. Her responsibilities include conducting in-depth background analysis and research, drafting pleadings, reviewing plaintiff discovery, retrieval and analysis of medical and employment records, and trial preparation from inception until conclusion.
Rebecca earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice specializing in paralegalism with a minor in Spanish from Northeastern State University. She began her paralegal career at an international law firm where she managed and directed a team of case management individuals, prepared statistical litigation reports for Fortune 500 clients, and handled all new case pleadings for the firm’s extensive product liability defense practice. After returning to her native Oklahoma in 2003, she worked as a litigation paralegal at a Tulsa-based law firm prior for eight years prior to joining McAfee & Taft.
In addition to being a member of the Tulsa Association of Legal Assistants, Rebecca is an active community volunteer for numerous area projects, including Manna Meals, NSU Scholarship Foundation, Robbie Page Memorial, Habitat for Humanity, Adopt A Highway, Illinois Riiver Cleanup and various 5k runs for medical cures. In addition, she has traveled abroad for missionary work to teach children’s Bible classes and build homes for impoverished families.
