BIOGRAPHY

Rhonda Melton began her legal career in 1992 and currently serves as a litigation paralegal for the firm's Intellectual Property Group. Her responsibilities include case management, preparing and filing pleadings, discovery support and analysis, exhibit preparation, trial preparation, and assisting attorneys at trial in all forms of intellectual property law litigation.

Prior to transitioning to her current role in June 2007, Rhonda spent the previous 10 years working in the firm’s Labor and Employment Group as a secretary/assistant. Her various responsibilities included assisting attorneys in case management, coordinating and assisting attorneys in the discovery process, preparing and filing pleadings, assisting attorneys by acting as liaison between all parties, coordinating Freedom of Information Act requests and document production, and assisting attorneys preparing for trial and arbitrations.

Rhonda graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Southern Nazarene University and is a member of the SNU Chi Alpha Chapter (National Honor Society). 

Rhonda is a member of the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants (COALA) and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA). She also serves as council member of the Edward L. Gaylord Downtown YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City and chairs the membership retention and community service committee. She previously chaired the Newcastle Education Foundation Grant Research Committee from 2005-2006.  

Rhonda's previous career experience includes serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1985-1989.
