Biography
Clarise Ashworth is a trial lawyer who practices in the areas of general civil litigation, complex business litigation and environmental litigation.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2008, Clarise worked as a litigation associate with the law firm of Hershenson, Carter, Scott & McGee in Norwich, VT, where her diverse practice included general litigation, tax appeals, criminal cases, and complex environmental litigation.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma in 2004, Clarise went on to graduate summa cum laude with her masters of science degree in environmental law and cum laude with her juris doctor from Vermont Law School in 2007. While in law school, she was a Jessup Moot Court Invitee, named to Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, and served as a full-time judicial extern to Justice Brian L. Burgess of the Vermont Supreme Court.
Clarise’s career experience also includes working as a paralegal for a small Oklahoma City civil and criminal litigation firm for five years prior to entering law school.
