Biography
Andy Peterson joined McAfee & Taft in 2006 and focuses his practice on many aspects of Intellectual Property law, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, licensing, unfair competition and trade secrets. He also devotes a portion of his practice to litigation matters.
Andy is a recent honors graduate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. While earning his Juris Doctor, he served as a student research assistant and was a member of Oklahoma Law Review and the National Trial Competition Team. He also received numerous honors, including the Nathan Scarritt Prize for the highest academic standing in his class, Welcome D. Pierson Award, S. T. Bledsoe Memorial Prize, Comfort Scholarship and American Jurisprudence Awards in Civil Procedure I & II, Criminal Law, Entertainment Law, Legal Research and Writing I & II, Patents, Property, Real Estate Transactions, Trademarks, Trial Techniques, Title Examination, and Wills & Trusts.
Before entering the legal profession, Andy taught introductory Spanish at the University of Oklahoma and served as the director for the University of Oklahoma Modern Languages Learning Center.
