Biography
Joel Bulleigh joined McAfee & Taft in 2006 and concentrates his practice on aircraft transactional matters which fall under the purview of the Federal Transportation Code, FAA Regulations, FAA Aircraft Registry, Cape Town Convention and International Registry.
His practice regularly involves the review of FAA records for aircraft, engines and propellers, and advising clients regarding title issues as well as liens and encumbrances of record at the FAA. He also reviews security agreements, leases, bills of sale and other documents to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and procedures.
While in law school, the recent honors graduate served as assistant note editor of the Oklahoma Law Review and was appointed to its judiciary committee. He was also a member of the National Mock Trial Team and was the recipient of the Gable & Gotwals Scholarship, Academic Merit Scholarship, and American Jurisprudence awards in Criminal Procedure I and Research, Writing and Advocacy I and II.
Joel is the author of “The Slippery Slope of Tort Reform: Will the Judiciary Uphold Legislative Intent? – Jagger v. Mohawk Mountain Ski Area, Inc.,” Oklahoma Law Review.
