Biography

Sheryl N. Young’s practice focuses primarily in litigation and arbitration, including products liability, antitrust, patent, trademark and copyright infringement, securities litigation, family law, class action defense and general business litigation.  She also has extensive experience in appellate work in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

In addition to having spoken at seminars on the subjects of trademark protection and the Internet, Sheryl is the author of “Protecting Your Company’s Name on the Internet,” Journal Record (January 13, 2000) and “Internet Basics for the Oklahoma Attorney,” National Business Institute (September 13, 2001).

Active in the community, Sheryl coordinates a tutoring partnership among McAfee & Taft, the Oklahoma City Public Schools Foundation and Gatewood Elementary School.  She is also a member of the chorus of the Canterbury Choral Society and serves as its pro bono general counsel.  She also previously served as the organization’s vice president from 2000 – 2004 and as a member of its board of directors from 1998 – 2004.
