BiographyCheryl Singleton brings more than 15 years of legal experience to her role as a paralegal for the firm’s worldwide aircraft financing, title and registration practice. She works directly with McAfee & Taft’s aviation attorneys to ensure that client interests in aircraft, engines and helicopters are protected and in compliance with the Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Aircraft Protocol. Much of her time is devoted to preparing and filing the documentation necessary to perfect those interests.
Cheryl’s diverse career experience includes serving as an executive secretary to the general counsel of a major Oklahoma retailing company, a law firm administrator, and a paralegal to attorneys engaged in insurance defense litigation, commercial banking litigation, debt collection, bankruptcy and domestic litigation, civil rights/employment litigation, and estate planning. While serving as an administrator for a local law firm, she gained valuable experience in facilities and operations management, financial management, human resources training and development, and systems analysis. She is a former member of the Association of Legal Administrators where she served as vice president, chapter secretary and CLM study group chairperson.
In 2001, Cheryl graduated from Oklahoma City Community College with an associate’s degree in diversified studies and a focus on business administration. She has also completed 65 hours of course study requirements in the Certified Legal Management (CLM) program.
Cheryl’s interests include running and golfing. She is also a former state and national powerlifting champion and served as interim secretary/treasurer for the USA Powerlifting federation. Cheryl was born in New Jersey but has lived in Oklahoma for almost 30 years and is a proud mother of two children, Logan and Tamara.
