BiographySince 1987, Michele Lasater has served as a paralegal specializing in workers’ compensation cases. She joined McAfee & Taft in 2004 and is responsible for handling all aspects of workers’ compensation claims, including trial preparation, reviewing medical records, preparing deposition summaries, corresponding with clients and preparing settlement documents. In addition to holding the distinction of being a licensed workers’ compensation insurance adjuster with the State of Oklahoma, she also attends yearly continuing legal education seminars related to workers’ compensation issues.
Michele attended Oklahoma State University and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Cameron University. In addition to her extensive career as a paralegal, her background also includes working for Sears, Roebuck & Co. in its regional group human resources department for two years.
Michele is a member of the Delta Delta Delta Alumni Association and PEO, a civic organization dedicated to promoting and providing educational opportunities for women.
