Biography

Pam Mappin brings more than 20 years of experience to her role as a paralegal for the firm’s Litigation Group.  Although much of her work is currently focused in the area of business litigation with an emphasis in document-intensive litigation and employment cases, she also has experience in the areas of environmental law, regulatory matters, and oil and gas litigation. 

As a litigation paralegal, her responsibilities include conducting research, reviewing plaintiff discovery, coordinating and responding to discovery requests, preparing and organizing documents and exhibits for trial, drafting and filing pleadings, and assisting attorneys at trial.

In addition to studying at Bethany Nazarene College and participating in the University of Oklahoma’s Legal Assistant Program, Pam has received training in CT Summation iBlaze litigation support software and attended numerous continuing legal education seminars and specialized courses on how to draft effective legislation.  She has also been a seminar instructor on the topic of “Advanced Discovery for the Litigation Paralegal in Oklahoma” through NBI, Inc.
 
Active in the community, Pam is strong advocate for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer.  As a founding member, past board member and legislative liaison of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, she assisted in formulating breast cancer-friendly legislation in Oklahoma and supported the legislation through correspondence and visits to members of the Oklahoma legislature.  As a member of the National Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation legislative council for five years, she assisted in providing language for numerous federal breast cancer bills and supported them through correspondence and visits with U.S. House and Senate members.  She is also a three-time gubernatorial appointee to the Oklahoma Breast Cancer Prevention and Treatment Advisory Committee and a past committee chairperson for the Tulsa Race for the Cure. 

Pam is also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and previously served on the board of the Tulsa Chapter of the League of Women Voters.
