Nathan Whatley to Address Employer Issues Arising from Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007

Nathan Whatley, an employment attorney with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, will be the featured guest speaker on the topic of the new HB1804 Oklahoma Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act of 2007 at a free business seminar sponsored by the Moore Norman Technology Center, Moore Chamber of Commerce and Norman Chamber of Commerce.  The event is scheduled for Friday, November 16, from 9 – 11am at the South Penn Campus of the Moore Norman Technology Center.  

In addition to providing an overview of current immigration law, the two-hour informational seminar will focus on how the new Act will affect Oklahoma businesses, what the Act requires of employers, and when the changes will go into effect.

Whatley, whose legal practice is focused on the representation of management in all phases of employment litigation and counseling, is a frequent speaker on issues affecting the workplace.  He also serves on the executive board of the Oklahoma City Metro Employer Council and as general counsel for the Sooner Human Resources Society.
