Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2011, trial lawyer Ruth Addison served as an assistant district attorney for Tulsa County where she was responsible for prosecuting felonies.
In its May 2010 Women’s Issue, Oklahoma Magazine profiled trial lawyer Ruth Addison as one of the state’s outstanding women. At age 24, the native Tulsan already had three years of courtroom experience to her credit as the state’s youngest assistant district attorney.
Ruth told Oklahoma Magazine she always wanted to be a lawyer, and that as a child, her favorite show was CNN’s legal program “Burden of Proof.” Eager to pursue her goal, she entered Oral Roberts University at age 14, graduated at 17, and was admitted into the University of Oklahoma College of Law at only 18 years old. She graduated with her law degree at 21 and holds the distinction of being the youngest graduate in school history.
