Attorney Celeste T. Johnson has joined McAfee & Taft‘s aviation practice group, one of the largest and most experienced of its kind in the United States and one whose reach is global in scope. Johnson’s practice will concentrate on aviation matters relating to the financing, purchase, sale, leasing and registration of aircraft worldwide. Johnson’s extensive legal experience includes representing clients in a wide range of transactional matters, including commercial real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, for-profit and non-profit business operations issues, and estate planning matters. Her representative experience includes more than $40 million in commercial real estate transactions as well as mergers, acquisitions and divestitures ranging from $100,000 to more than $100,000,000.
Active in the legal community, Johnson serves as a Law Library Trustee and Law Day chair, and served previously as the Young Lawyers Division chair for the Oklahoma County Bar Association. She is an active member of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Women in Law Committee.
Outside the legal community, Johnson donates her time to several local organizations including Children’s Hospital, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and Habitat for Humanity. She is also an active member of Generations Church, serving as a board member and treasurer.
Johnson’s professional achievements and civic contributions earned her recognition by The Journal Record with its Leadership in Law award and inclusion in Oklahoma Rising Stars. She is also a past recipient of the Oklahoma County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer award and its Outstanding Young Lawyers Division Director honor and has been named to the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Leadership Academy.
