McAfee & Taft entertainment lawyer Jay Shanker is providing legal representation for a documentary project about Tulsa's historic Cain's Ballroom, as reported by Tulsa World.
Set to be released in 2011, the documentary will feature both local and internationally famous musicians like Elvis Costello, Wanda Jackson, Hot Club of Cowtown and surviving members of the Texas Playboys. The film will also include the history of Cain's Ballroom which spans over seven decades.
Cain's Ballroom owner Jim Rodgers told Tulsa World that funding is still being raising for the project and has primarily been funded by private charitable contributions. The film's proceeds will support art and music education in the Tulsa area as well as the Cain's Ballroom Museum and Historical Society.
