Having more than doubled in size since its opening two years ago, McAfee
& Taft is excited to announce the move of its Tulsa office to newly
renovated and expanded offices in Mapco Plaza, located at 1717 S. Boulder. The move marks the latest in a
decade-long series of growth initiatives for the state’s largest law firm,
allowing for the office’s continued expansion and providing clients with
greater, more convenient access to the firm’s comprehensive legal and business
counseling service offerings.
“From the very beginning,
our plan was to expand our Tulsa office to more than 30 lawyers within two to
five years, and we are on track to do just that,” said managing director
Richard Nix.
“Since opening our doors in
Tulsa in May 2008, we have deliberately set out to enhance our core team by
recruiting some of the area’s best and brightest talent, adding professionals
with proven track records for being “go-to” lawyers in the areas of employment
law and labor relations, intellectual property, commercial litigation,
environmental and regulatory matters, and corporate and commercial transactions,”
said Nix. “We have also been
extremely pleased with our efforts to recruit high-quality associate attorneys,
as we believe this provides our clients with the depth of talent, service and efficiency
they require now and the continuity of relationships and service they value
over the long run.”
Since its inception in
1952, McAfee & Taft has evolved from a small entrepreneurial firm founded
by Oklahoma pioneer corporate and tax attorneys Kenneth McAfee & Richard
Taft into a full-service firm serving clients across the state and throughout
the region, as well as around the world. Despite its now-global reach, the firm attributes much of its growth in
recent years to the success of its Oklahoma clients, which includes many of the
state’s largest employers as well as emerging companies and closely-held family
businesses. The firm also has
extensive reach across a broad spectrum of industries, including healthcare,
manufacturing, oil and gas, aerospace, sports and gaming, entertainment,
agriculture and equine, renewable and sustainable energy, construction and
development, and midstream and transportation.
While the firm maintains offices in both Tulsa and Oklahoma City, the
firm remains steadfastly committed to working collaboratively as a single unit,
offering all clients full access to the firm’s extensive resources, which
includes more than 150 support staff, the use of industry-leading technology,
worldwide networks of affiliated law firms, and 156 lawyers with expertise and
significant depth in a wide range of legal disciplines. Significant
investments in those resources over the years, said Nix, have greatly
contributed to the firm’s success and the increasing value it is able to offer
clients.
