Hyde, Meyer to Address HR Professionals from Big XII

Oklahoma City, OK - March 3, 2005

J. Dudley Hyde and M. Brandon Meyer, attorneys with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, will be featured speakers at a gathering of human resources professionals from the Big 12 universities on Sunday, March 13th. Oklahoma State University will be hosting this year’s event, which is being co-sponsored by the firm.

Hyde, a veteran ERISA attorney and director of the firm, will lead a discussion on compensation arrangements and options for key university officials, retirement benefits for select key employees, and general retirement plan governance and fiduciary responsibility issues.

Meyer, whose practice is focused on the tax and fiduciary requirements of employee benefit plans, will review proposed regulations and current IRS non-compliance and audit issues affecting 403(b) retirement plans offered by the universities. He will also speak on Section 457 deferred compensation arrangements.
