McAfee & Taft attorney and newlywed Lauren Barghols Hanna and her husband, Adam, are winners of the B.C. Clark Jewelers’ Diamond Dash. The top prize was a flawless Lazare diamond ring valued at $15,000. They were featured in a recent Oklahoman article highlighting the elaborate promotion.
More than 720 contestants showed up on Saturday, March 13th, in matching blue shirts, to participate in the contest. Contestants were required to race through downtown Oklahoma City answering trivia questions and following clues. Contestants were allowed to use non-motorized vehicles as a means of transportation and cell phones were used to receive riddles via text message.
B.C. Clark Jewelers considers the promotion a success and Hanna commented, “Even though it was a promotion, it didn’t feel like an advertisement.” In her opinion, it was “something really exciting and unique to do on a great spring day.”
