McAfee & Taft Names Randy Rybicki Controller

McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, has named Randy Rybicki as controller. He oversees the firm’s day-to-day financial and accounting operations, including the management of all firm accounts and assets. 

In addition to working closely with the firm’s executive manager and assisting with financial management and analysis and the preparation of annual budgets, Rybicki is responsible for maintaining and evaluating the accounting department’s policies and procedures to ensure compliance with external rules and regulations and to promote operational efficiency.  He also supervises the firm’s payroll system and works closely with the human resources department to coordinate all employee payroll matters.

Rybicki began his extensive career in financial management in 1984 as an audit manager for a national accounting and management consulting firm.  Since then, he has served in various high-level financial management positions for service organizations and public entities in the Oklahoma City area, including nine years as controller for another large Oklahoma City-based law firm.

Rybicki is a certified public accountant with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Oklahoma State University and an MBA with honors from Oklahoma City University.
