The Aviation Group at McAfee & Taft has added four new paralegals to support its expanding global aircraft financing, title and registration practice. The group, which is strategically based in Oklahoma City near the Federal Aviation Administration Aeronautical Center, is one of the largest and most experienced of its kind in the world.

Paralegals Cindy Crawford, Holly Medina, Linda Rachel and Linda Wilmeth work with McAfee & Taft’s aviation attorneys to assist with aircraft transaction closings and to ensure that client interests in aircraft, engines and helicopters are protected and properly registered domestically with the Federal Aviation Administration and internationally with the International Registry, based in Ireland.

Cindy Crawford brings with her more than 25 years experience as a legal secretary and more than five years experience as a closing agent for both a real estate closing company and a title insurance company.

Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Holly Medina served as lead escrow agent for an Oklahoma City-based aircraft title company for more than five years. In that capacity, she coordinated aircraft transaction closings between multiple parties, worked directly with trustees and obtained Federal Aviation Administration legal approval for new trusts, and examined and prepared documents for submission to the FAA. She also developed extensive working knowledge of the International Registry.

Linda Rachel brings with her more than 36 years of experience in the escrow and title insurance industry. She previously worked for several title companies where she assisted in many significant, complex commercial transactions that were part of the Oklahoma City metro area’s recent renaissance. She is also involved with the Commercial Real Estate Council.

Linda Wilmeth began her legal career in 1981 as a legal secretary/legal assistant in her hometown of Clinton, Oklahoma. After a two-year stint as a loan processor for a financial institution, she returned to the legal field in 1988 and served as a legal assistant for various law firms based in Texas and Oklahoma for the next 20 years. Most recently, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Jackson, Tennessee, office of a large court reporting firm. She holds an associate’s degree from Rose State College.
