New Associate Giannina Marin Joins McAfee & Taft

Oklahoma City, OK - April 23, 2009


Giannina Marin
has joined McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, as an associate. She is a transactional lawyer whose practice is concentrated in the areas of family wealth planning and general business transactions.  Marin represents both individuals and businesses in a variety of estate planning, probate, corporate and tax matters.

After graduating from the University of Florida in 2006 with degrees in finance and criminology, Marin went on to pursue her Juris Doctor, graduating magna cum laude in December 2008 from the University of Florida College of Law.  While in law school, she served as an intern for the Honorable Juan R. Torruella of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, as well as a research assistant to Robert Emerson, Professor of Legal Studies, and as a teaching assistant in Appellate Advocacy and Legal Research and Writing.  In addition to receiving Book Awards for her academic achievements, Marin was a recipient of the University of Florida Pro Bono Certificate for her pro bono work.  She also served as a board member and treasurer of the John Marshall Bar Association as well as board member of the Florida Law Review

Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Marin is fluent in Spanish as well as Italian.
