Shareholder Sheryl N. Young was one of 48 alumnae of the Oklahoma City University School of Law to be recognized in its "Women of Law" special edition.
Young, who graduated from law school in 1990, credits the Hatton W. Sumners Foundation Scholarship and the school's evening program for making it possible for her to attend law school as a single mother.
In the OCU LAW profile, Young was recognized for being an active participant of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court from 1999 to 2003 and for being awarded its Outstanding Barrister Award in both 2001 and 2002. The alumni magazine also noted that a local program she coordinated on behalf of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of Court was given the National Award for Most Creative Program at the National Inns of Court in 2001.
