Paralegal Carl Morrison joins McAfee & Taft

Carl H. Morrison, II, a certified paralegal, has joined McAfee & Taft's Tulsa office, providing comprehensive support to lawyers engaged in healthcare regulatory and investigative matters and in complex litigation, including cases involving professional liability, mass torts, products liability, insurance and multi-district litigation.  

Since embarking on a legal career in 1992, he has worked on numerous highly technical cases, particularly those involving the healthcare industry, and has extensive experience with case management and all aspects of litigation support. He is a frequent author and featured lecturer on paralegal management, trial preparation, and other legal issues.

A leader in the legal community, Morrison currently chairs the Paralegal/Legal Assistant Section of the Tulsa County Bar Association, is an active member of the Tulsa Area Paralegal Association and NALS – The Association for Legal Professionals, and serves as president-elect of the Oklahoma chapter of NALS. He is also an adjunct professor at Tulsa Community College, teaching courses in Business Law and Introduction to the Legal System, and previously served on the faculty of the Institute for Paralegal Education.

In 2012, the Tulsa County Bar Association honored him with its President’s Award for his distinguished service to the Paralegal Section. A year earlier, he was awarded the Continuing Education Award by NALS. He was also named a finalist for the NALS Award of Excellence in 2011.

The Oklahoma native holds an associate’s degree in science from Tulsa Community College, a bachelor of science degree in biology with pre-professional emphasis in medicine from Northeastern State University, and a certificate in paralegal management from the Paralegal Knowledge Institute. In addition, he earned paralegal certification (AACP) from the American Alliance of Paralegals, Inc. in 2010, professional paralegal certification (PP) from NALS in 2011, and professional paralegal specialty certification (PP-SC) in Litigation/Civil Law from NALS in 2012.
