Paralegal Pam Mappin Joins McAfee & Taft

McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm, has further expanded its Tulsa office with the addition of paralegal Pam Mappin. Mappin currently assists attorneys in the area of business litigation with an emphasis in document-intensive litigation and employment cases.

As a litigation paralegal, her responsibilities include conducting research, reviewing plaintiff discovery, coordinating and responding to discovery requests, preparing and organizing documents and exhibits for trial, drafting and filing pleadings, and assisting attorneys at trial.

Mappin’s 20 years of experience also includes environmental law, regulatory matters and oil and gas litigation.  She studied at Bethany Nazarene College and participated in the University of Oklahoma’s Legal Assistant Program.  Mappin received training in CT Summation iBlaze litigation support software and has attended numerous continuing education seminars and specialized courses.  She has also been a seminar instructor on the topic of “Advanced Discovery for the Litigation Paralegal in Oklahoma” through NBI, Inc.

Mappin is a founding member of the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  She is a strong advocate for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer and has assisted in formulating breast cancer-friendly legislation in Oklahoma.  Mappin is also a three-time gubernatorial appointee to the Oklahoma Breast Cancer Prevention and Treatment Advisory Committee.
