Stephanie Chapman Awarded NYU Tax Law Review Scholarship

Oklahoma City, OK - April 21, 2005

Stephanie Chapman, an attorney with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, has been awarded one of six merit-based Tax Law Review scholarships by the New York University School of Law.  While pursuing her master of laws degree in taxation later this fall, Chapman will serve as graduate editor of the NYU Tax Law Review

NYU’s Graduate Tax Program, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, is widely considered to be the nation’s preeminent graduate tax program and has attained a #1 ranking by U.S. News & World Report every year since the rankings began in 1992.  

Chapman is a 2002 honors graduate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.   Her current legal practice is focused in the areas of taxation and business transactions.  Her practice frequently includes effecting complex business structures that include all types of entities, completing stock and asset acquisitions and structuring tax-free reorganizations.  She also provides advice regarding general corporate and entity governance matters and general tax planning.
