Ternes to Moderate Law Conference Session on Bush Administration’s Environmental Efforts

Oklahoma City, OK - January 25, 2005

Mary Ellen Ternes, an attorney with the law firm of McAfee & Taft, will be moderating a panel session at the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Resources 34th Annual Conference on Environmental Law on March 12 at the Keystone Resort and Conference Center in Keystone, CO.  Entitled “Hot Topics,” the session will focus on the Bush administration’s environmental efforts in its second term.

The event, held from March 10 - 13, is the largest annual environmental law conference of its kind, regularly attracting over 300 members of the U.S. environmental bar.  Its advanced-level programming is designed to provide participants with insights into the latest developments and strategic approaches in environmental law.

C.H. Guernsey & Co., an Oklahoma City-based firm that provides engineering, architectural, and consulting services to clients worldwide, is one of the conference’s sponsors and will host a roundtable on “Spaceplanes and Automobiles – Applying the National Environmental Policy Act to Aerospace and Ground Transportation Projects.”

In addition to her legal practice, Ternes is a frequent speaker, author, and conference planner on environmental issues and has held numerous leadership positions with the ABA’s Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.   She chaired the Section’s 2004 conference in Keystone and currently serves on Council for the Section.
