Trotter Chronicles Legal Achievements for Oklahoma Women's Almanac

Oklahoma City, OK - February 2, 2006

The achievements of many leading women lawyers throughout Oklahoma’s history have been chronicled by Patsy Trotter, McAfee & Taft’s library administrator and director of research, and included in the recently released Oklahoma Women’s Almanac.

Oklahoma Women’s Almanac is a project of the Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women & The Women’s Archives at Oklahoma State University.  The book, which includes a foreword by Governor Brad Henry, was launched at a special ceremony at the State Capitol on January 26.

Trotter is also the author of Leading the Way: A Look at Oklahoma’s Pioneering Women Lawyers.  Published in 2003 as a project of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Women in Law Committee, the book traces the history of the first pioneer women lawyers in Oklahoma.

Patsy holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University, and a Juris Doctor from the Oklahoma City University School of Law.  She is a member of the Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and American Bar Associations, as well as Phi Delta Phi, an international legal fraternity.
