Firm's Practice Expands to 57 Trial Lawyers

OK - July 3, 2007McAfee & Taft, Oklahoma’s largest law firm with one of the largest litigation practices in the state, has expanded its Litigation Practice Group to 57 attorneys with the recent addition of experienced trial lawyers Vickie J. Buchanan and Rodney K. Hunsinger, II.
Vickie J. Buchanan’s practice encompasses a wide range of business-related litigation in state and federal courts and in commercial arbitration. Her experience includes representing individuals and companies in complex business cases, class action and multiple party lawsuits, and disputes involving insurance, banking, bankruptcy, family law, mass torts, products liability and real estate matters. She also represents companies in employment counseling and litigation matters.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Buchanan was a director with another large civil practice law firm in Oklahoma City.
Buchanan graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern State University in 1996 and went on to graduate with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1999. She is a member of the Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and American Bar Associations, Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute and William J. Holloway American Inn of Court. Her civic activities include serving on the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City and the selection committee of the Oklahoma School of Math and Science. She is a graduate of Leadership Edmond and a volunteer for Rebuilding Together and Crossings Community Church. She has also served as a campfire leader for Crossings Christian School.
Rodney Hunsinger’s experience has focused on business and commercial litigation, including the representation of clients in class action lawsuits and disputes involving mass torts, employment discrimination, product liability, Native American and gaming law, consumer law, and automobile dealership law and regulation.
The Norman native graduated magna cum laude from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1999, became a certified public accountant in 2002, and graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2003. He previously worked as a litigation associate with another large civil practice law firm in Oklahoma City.
Hunsinger is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, National Association of Dealer Counsel, Luther Bohanon American Inn of Court, and the Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, American and Federal Bar Associations. He is also a member of the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and a volunteer for Rebuilding Together.
