COALA Selects Dianna Peters as 2008 Paralegal of the Year | |

Dianna Peters, a certified paralegal with McAfee & Taft, has been selected as the 2008 Paralegal of the Year by the Central Oklahoma Association of Legal Assistants (COALA). She has been a paralegal for nearly 30 years with significant experience in areas of general litigation, banking, employment law, family law, insurance, medical malpractice, oil and gas, probate and wills, products liability, real estate transactions, and intellectual property litigation.
COALA was established in 1984 to provide a forum and network of support and assistance for legal assistants/paralegals in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The organization serves the legal community by providing sources of continuing legal education, establishing standards and guidelines for proper and effective utilization of legal assistants/paralegals by members of the Bar, providing a higher quality of legal services at lower cost to the client, and maintaining the high standards of professional responsibility and conduct imposed upon all members of the Bar.
In addition to being a member of COALA, Dianna is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) and has served as a district director for Oklahoma Paralegal Association. She has coordinated and instructed CLA review courses and other paralegal seminars. She also volunteers as a docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, and serves on the Docent Council Board, and is the Coordinator for the Wrangler volunteer program.
Dianna has been a paralegal with McAfee & Taft since 1986 and currently assists attorneys involved in the practice of business and securities litigation.
