Entertainment lawyer Jay Shanker's participation on an expert panel discussing art censorship at the November 2007 Oklahoma First Amendment Congress was featured on KGOU's weekly Oklahoma Voices program on Monday, March 10, 2008.
Jay's panel featured representatives from the Oklahoma arts community talking about current local and national censorship trends affecting artist creativity and free speech. Panelists included Joy Reed Belt, the owner and director of the JRB Art at the Elms gallery in Oklahoma City's Paseo district; NONzine magazine editor and co-publisher Michael Tabor; Individual Arts of Oklahoma (IAO) gallery executive director Jeff Stokes; and moderator Sherry Fair from City Arts Center.
