The Business Law Group at the Firm is an interdisciplinary group that reflects the comprehensive, full-service approach to meeting our clients’ needs for transactional business representation that has been the hallmark of our practice throughout the Firm’s history.
Our clients have historically been driven by the entrepreneurial vision to create, develop and enhance the community and state where we live. Our attorneys are involved in a myriad of different practice areas and projects as far ranging as agricultural and administrative law, to real estate development and finance and all that entails, tax incentives, leasing, asset based loans to large or small businesses, secured and unsecured commercial transactions, supply network distribution agreements, energy development and finance, antitrust and competition, franchising and licensing matters, and architectural, engineering and construction contracting. As an interdisciplinary practice group, the Business Law group is also involved in projects that require expertise in diverse practice areas such as international law, Native American law and business immigration.
Often our clients’ projects involve the need for expertise of lawyers from more than one practice group. For that reason, while our organizational designations are helpful internally for associate development and continuing education purposes, all of the lawyers in the Firm work together to meet the client’s needs without regard to particular practice groups. Many of the lawyers in the Business Law practice group are among the most highly regarded lawyers in the community, with significant representation in The Best Lawyers in America in their individual areas of expertise.
Our clients come from all walks of life and include individuals, public and private corporations of all sizes, partnerships and other forms of limited liability business organizations, private and public foundations, and other organizations involved in or contemplating any type of business or commercial transaction. The Firm has been a leader in real estate and new business development in the region throughout its history. We also represent secured and unsecured lenders and equity investors as they participate in the economic growth of the region by funding the acquisition of business enterprises, construction projects, and all types of related corporate finance activities. A few of the specialized components of the interdisciplinary Business Law practice group are described below.
