2015 Festival of the Arts Preview
Interview with Louis Pricepublished in NewsOK.com | April 14, 2015
McAfee & Taft attorney Louis Price and local architect Betsy Brunsteter, co-chairs of the 2015 Festival of the Arts, were interviewed by NewsOK’s Dave Morris to get a preview of Oklahoma City’s premier arts event.
Sponsored by the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, the Festival of the Arts is a community celebration of the visual arts, performing arts, and culinary arts. This year’s event, which runs from April 21–26 in downtown Oklahoma City, features 144 visual artists, a wide range of specialty food vendors in the International Food Court, and nearly 300 entertainers performing on four stages.
According to Price, planning for the annual event starts two years in advance and requires 5,000 volunteers to pull off. This will be the last year the Arts Festival will be held in its current location at the Festival Plaza and Myriad Botanical Gardens. Beginning next year, the festival will return to its original location at Civic Center Park.
