A Look Ahead: What to expect and plan for

EmployerLINC17: Back to Basics

The times they are a-changin’. The transition of power from one administration to another means changes in leadership at the nation’s top federal employment agencies, changes in budgets and direction, and changes in enforcement priorities. While businesses are encouraged at the prospect of a decidedly pro-employer agenda, it remains to be seen how the overall landscape of the American workplace will change … as well as how quickly.

Speaking at McAfee & Taft’s EmployerLINC17 seminar in Oklahoma City in a presentation titled “A Look Ahead: What to expect and plan for,” labor and employment attorney Paul Ross provides employers with an overview of what changes are likely to occur at the federal level under the Trump administration and discusses why a de-emphasis in enforcement and litigation by federal agencies may result in an increase in charges and lawsuits filed against employers by individuals. His presentation includes a back-to-basics discussion on the importance of self-audits and workforce training to minimize the risk of litigation.
