OPHRA 2013 Winter Quarterly Training Conference

At the 2013 Winter Quarterly Training Conference of the Oklahoma Public Human Resources Association (OPHRA), employee benefits and executive compensation lawyer Brandon Long provides HR professionals from local, state and federal government with an update on recent changes to state and federal laws, reviews new guidance issued by regulatory agencies, and discusses recent court rulings that directly impact employers. Topics include health care reform compliance and the impact of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act.

The OPHRA is a professional association devoted to training, developing and promoting public sector human resources management professionals within Oklahoma. The association’s mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. Members are comprised of individuals from state, county, and municipal government, as well as employment law professionals. OPHRA is affiliated with the International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR).
