As a certified paralegal for McAfee & Taft’s Family Law Group, Alessa O’Dunadhaigh works directly with clients in the collection, review, and production of voluminous documents using various electronic platforms. 

Her scope of work includes providing mediation, deposition, hearing, and trial support in keeping with the firm’s representation of clients in negotiations and disputes involving prenuptial agreements, complex divorce actions, the valuation of tangible and intangible business and personal assets, the appropriate division of assets and debts, child custody, and alimony and child support payments. 

Her diverse career experience includes employee benefits/ERISA and executive compensation law, labor and employment law (focused primarily on the defense of employment claims involving Title VII, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, with regular employer training on issues such as harassment, drug and alcohol testing, hiring, firing, discipline, wage and hour issues, retaliation, discrimination and accommodation); oil and gas law (specifically research of ad valorem taxes, chaining title, and preparation of extensive drill site title opinions consisting of oil and gas leases, assignments, easements, mortgages and unreleased leases); and complex commercial litigation, insurance claims and coverage disputes, and product liability defense (conducting research and medical record collections). 

Alessa earned her certified legal professional (CLP) and professional paralegal (PP) certifications through NALS, the association for legal professionals. She is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association (TCBA), NALS®…the association for legal professionals, and the Tulsa Area Paralegal Association (TAPA).
