Angie Cox is a litigation paralegal with extensive experience providing comprehensive legal support to trial lawyers engaged in civil litigation at the state, federal and appellate levels. She currently works with attorneys whose practices are concentrated in energy, oil and gas, and environmental litigation. Her responsibilities, which focus on trial preparation from inception to conclusion, include e-discovery, document production, preparing correspondence and pleadings, managing document-intensive cases, conducting legal and factual research, maintaining case files and court calendars, preparing exhibits, serving as a liaison with clients and witnesses, and assisting lawyers at trial.
Angie began her legal career in 1994 as a family support assistant for the Lake County District Attorney’s Office in Lake County, California. Since moving to Oklahoma in 1999, she has provided legal support for attorneys engaged in a broad range of disciplines, including criminal defense, insurance litigation, real estate law, personal injury litigation, product liability litigation, patent and trademark law, and bankruptcy litigation. Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2019, she worked as a paralegal and litigation support specialist for a mid-sized Oklahoma City-based law firm.
In addition to earning her associate’s degree in social science from Barstow College in 1998 and her paralegal certificate from the National Institute for Paralegal Arts & Sciences in 2001, Angie obtained the trial technology specialist certification (CTTS) through the American Guild of Court Videographers (AGCV). She is a member of the Association of Certified eDiscovery Specialists and the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).Download Bio (PDF)
