Cole McLanahan is a trial lawyer whose practice encompasses a broad range of business and commercial litigation, including the resolution of intellectual property and banking-related disputes, before state and federal trial and appellate courts, administrative proceedings and hearings, and arbitrations.
A portion of Cole’s practice is devoted to representing employers and management exclusively in labor and employment disputes, including those involving claims of discrimination and harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, breach of employment agreements, and other issues arising from the employer-employee relationship.
Cole holds undergraduate degrees in both finance and accounting from Oklahoma State University and worked in financial auditing and regulatory compliance positions in both the public and private sectors prior to entering law school. In addition to serving as a compliance analyst for one of the nation’s largest mortgage servicing companies, his career experience includes working as an audit supervisor for the Office of the State Auditor and Inspector for the State of Oklahoma.
Cole earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he served as the executive articles editor of the Oklahoma Law Review, was a member of the Board of Advocates, and earned an American Jurisprudence Award for Legal Research and Writing.
