As controller, David Mills oversees the financial and accounting functions of the firm and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, internal controls, and tax information reporting. He also provides financial reports and analysis to the chief operating officer and board of directors to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
David is a 2001 graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting and was a member of Beta Alpha Psi honorary accounting society.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2023, David served as the chief financial officer of an SEC-registered investment management firm specializing in providing turnkey solutions for white-label domestic and international exchange-traded funds. His prior career experience also includes serving as the controller of an Oklahoma-based automotive management consulting company.
