Jessica Burns serves as a paralegal with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, where her responsibilities include preparing and filing U.S. and foreign patent applications and related documents, trademark applications, patent and trademark responses, renewals, and copyright applications; handling maintenance fee payments for U.S. patents and annuities for foreign patents and applications; preparing and reviewing intellectual property agreements; and providing paralegal support for intellectual property litigation filed in both federal court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2022, Jessica worked as an IP paralegal for a large Oklahoma-based firm and as a legal assistant and paralegal for a small firm specializing in insurance, personal injury, and products liability defense.
Jessica holds associates degrees from Heritage College and Oklahoma City Community College.
