Laura Dabney is an advanced certified paralegal who provides comprehensive legal support to trial lawyers whose state and federal litigation practices are concentrated in the areas of product liability defense, mass torts litigation, and class actions. Her responsibilities, which focus on trial preparation from inception to conclusion, include maintaining litigation files, document management, coordinating and responding to discovery request, reviewing discovery, conducting research, scheduling and summarizing depositions, filing pleadings, preparing and organizing documents and exhibits for trial, and assisting attorneys at trial.
Laura began her career as a paralegal in Gastonia, NC, in 2005. Prior to joining McAfee & Taft in 2018, she worked as a certified paralegal for a Tulsa, OK-based insurance defense firm for one year.
Laura earned an associate of science degree in paralegal technology from Gaston College in Dallas, North Carolina, and her certified paralegal and advanced certified paralegal credentials from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).
