Linda Wilmeth is an experienced professional who brings 30 years of legal and business experience to her role as a paralegal for McAfee & Taft’s global aircraft financing, title and registration practice. Her primary responsibilities include examining and reviewing aircraft and engine records for the preparation of title memoranda as well as providing additional support to the firm’s Federal Aviation Administration-based paralegals.
Linda began her legal career in 1981 as a legal secretary/legal assistant in her hometown of Clinton, OK. After a two-year stint as a loan processor for a financial institution, she returned to the legal field in 1988 and served as a legal assistant for various law firms based in Texas and Oklahoma for the next 20 years. During that time, she gained valuable experience providing legal support to attorneys engaged in the practice of aircraft and aviation law as well as real estate, construction, environmental, commercial transactions, labor and employment, bankruptcy, ERISA, estate planning and family law.
Three years prior to joining McAfee & Taft, Linda oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Jackson, Tennessee, office of a large court reporting firm where she was responsible for scheduling depositions and video conferences, ordering transcripts, and scoping and proofreading transcripts of testimony taken either by sworn deposition or in courtroom proceedings.
