Lindsey Brown


As a paralegal with the firm’s Intellectual Property Group, Lindsey Brown works with attorneys whose practices encompass the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law and litigation. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing U.S. and foreign patent applications, trademark applications, patent and trademark responses, renewals, and copyright applications; handling maintenance fee payments for U.S. patents and annuities for foreign patents and applications; coordinating and preparing documents for intellectual property litigation in both federal court and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; and handling research projects relating to all aspects of intellectual property law.

Lindsey holds an associate’s degree in social science from Rose State College and graduated magna cum laude from Southern Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. 

Lindsey joined McAfee & Taft in 2022, bringing with her 17 years of experience as a legal secretary and paralegal in both private practice and private industry. Her broad base of knowledge and experience includes working in the areas of business litigation, intellectual property, and employment law for several Oklahoma City-area law firms. She also worked as a legal assistant for Sonic Corporation, franchisor and operator of Sonic Drive-Ins, and as a legal assistant and project manager for one of its largest franchisee groups.
