As a paralegal for the firm’s Real Estate Group, Lisa Burks provides comprehensive legal support to attorneys engaged in a broad range of real estate transactions, including commercial leasing, real estate management, construction contracts, and real estate sales, exchanges, acquisitions, development and finance.
Lisa joined McAfee & Taft in 2020, bringing with her more than 30 years of hands-on experience in the legal and banking industries and a wealth of knowledge in the areas of commercial law, compliance, contracts, and document review. She began her legal career in 1988 as a paralegal with Liberty Bank & Trust Company and later worked as a bank legal manager and lending compliance manager for the largest privately owned bank in Oklahoma for more than 18 years. Her career experience also includes working as a litigation and transactional paralegal for two Oklahoma-based law firms.
