
In his role as chief operating officer, Matt Bown has primary responsibility for managing the business and financial operations of the state’s largest law firm. In addition to working directly with the managing director and board of directors on firm-wide growth, risk management, organizational development, and profitability initiatives, he oversees the firm’s administrative, finance, facilities, technology, human resources, and business development divisions.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Drury University and is a certified public accountant. He began his career in public accounting, spending nine years with KPMG. He then joined the Dean McGee Eye Institute for 19 years, serving as the executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Matt is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Legal Administrators. Active in the community, he currently serves on the board of directors of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma City and the Committee of One Hundred.
Matt also previously served as president of the Oklahoma City All Sports Association and the Committee of One Hundred, as well as served on the boards of Leadership Oklahoma City, Community Literacy Centers, and the Breech School of Business at Drury University. In 2016, he was honored with Leadership Oklahoma City’s Paragon Award for exemplary service to the community.
